3 Day Trip from Agadir to Fes Through the Sahara Desert
Highlights:
Day 1: Agadir > Taroudant > Taliouine > Ait Ben Haddou Kasbahs > Ouarzazate
We'll start our journey from your hotel in Agadir. Our driver will pick you up and we'll head towards Taroudant, often called "little Marrakech." We'll explore the city before passing through Berber villages like Taliouine and Taznakht, known for saffron and carpet cooperatives. We'll have lunch at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its old Berber architecture and as a filming location. Then, we'll continue to Ouarzazate for the night, where dinner and breakfast are included.
Day 2: Ouarzazate > Todra Gorge > Erfoud > Merzouga Desert
After breakfast at your hotel, we'll drive through Skoura Valley's palm groves and visit valleys like Roses, Dades, and Todra Gorge. You'll have a walk in the mountains before lunch in Tinjdad. We'll pass through Berber villages and Erfoud, known for fossils, to reach Merzouga Desert. There, you'll ride camels across sand dunes to our camp for the night. After dinner, enjoy drumming by the campfire under the starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga > Ziz Valley > Midelt > Ifrane > Fes
Our final day will be scenic, crossing Morocco's diverse landscapes. We'll drive from the desert through the High/Middle Atlas Mountains, passing the largest Cedar forest in Africa. You might spot monkeys! We'll visit Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco," before reaching Fes, one of the oldest cities in the world. Our driver will drop you off at your hotel/riad.
